Lydia should quit her degree and become a wedding planner!! Seriously, she is so helpful. This evening we were talking and she suggested a Devonshire Tea, which was actually somewhat along the lines of what I was thinking of. Well, of having tea and coffee and just sandwiches. She found me all these links of how to have a Devonshire Tea that I want to sit down and really look at. I just sort of skimmed them for now, but I think I'd like to go with something along those lines.

And then, the coolest suggest was a cupcake tree: http://www.dessertworks.net/pics/cupcake.jpg I like this idea, cause instead of one big cake, we could have both choccie and yellow cakes, so everyone can be happy (Rick doesn't like chocolate, but I do). Plus it would be cheaper to have cupcakes probably, though Dave will probably give me a huge discount (which is nice, but he irks me that way. I have to go to the bakery whenever he's not there, just so I can pay for my items cause he is always like "it's on me." *sigh* No wonder he's not making any money. He's too giving to everyone.

But anyway, here are the links below. And I've decided that as beautiful and gorgeous as Camp Soles is, I can't justify spending $1000 on a venue, especially if it's just a casual afternoon wedding. So I've go to put in an application to get a permit to get married on the island at Mammoth Park, as well as reserve a pavilion. Actually, I'm debating, should I get a pavilion, or should we play it safe weather-wise and rent the indoor shelter? It might be better that way, cause then it would be okay if it rained. But I want my wedding to be kid-friendly, and the pavilion would be near the playground. We'll see what happens.
